Received an Invoice Instead of a Rebate

Why did I receive an invoice if I was expecting a rebate?

Rebates are only issued for equipment that has significant resale value after refurbishment. If the cost of logistics, data sanitization, and processing exceeds the fair market value of the equipment, or if the equipment was designated for recycling/shredding, a service fee will be invoiced instead.
