Damaged, Swollen, Bloated Batteries

How do you handle swollen or "bloated" batteries?

We do not accept damaged or swollen batteries. Damaged batteries are a fire hazard and cannot be shipped in standard containers without proper labelling. We provide DOT-compliant packaging with universal waste and UN classification labels specific to batteries for the safe transport and disposal of compromised batteries. Please alert your Account Manager or customercare@compucycle.com immediately if you identify damaged batteries in your inventory.
